Polycarbonate Embossed Translucent Skylight Sheets

Transparent polycarbonate skylight profile sheets are an effective way to allow natural light into aluminium roofs. Embossed sheets offer controlled light transmission, contributing to energy efficiency by minimizing the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours — leading to significant savings on energy costs.

Transparent polycarbonate profile sheets are available in a standard thickness of 2mm with embossing, making them compatible with standard metal roofing profiles for seamless integration.

Its maintenance-free design eliminates clogging and ensures a long lifecycle with consistent performance — making it an ideal choice wherever lasting, reliable roof ventilation is required.

Multiwall Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets

Multiwall polycarbonate sheets are engineered to block heat while permitting light wavelengths to penetrate — making them an excellent energy-efficient solution.

Particularly ideal in 6mm and 8mm thicknesses for applications such as wiregrass in north light sheds.

Continuous Natural Airflow

Delivers uninterrupted high-volume airflow at all times. Five metres of Hat Top Airflow Ridgevent equals the performance of two standard whirlybirds.

Zero Power Consumption

No electricity, no moving parts, no noise. The Hat Top Ridge Vent harnesses natural wind and thermal convection for completely passive operation.

Universal Roof Compatibility

Compatible with all roofing profiles — corrugated, tiled, colorbond, and more — making it a truly versatile solution for any structure.

Maintenance-Free Design

The clog-resistant design eliminates the need for any ongoing maintenance, providing a reliable long-lifecycle performance from day one.

Mould Prevention

Actively prevents mould build-up within ceiling cavities by maintaining consistent airflow, promoting healthier indoor living and working conditions.

Attractive Roofline

Strategically placed at the roof's peak with closed underneath louvers. Virtually invisible from ground level — a seamless, aesthetic roofline finish.

Reduces Internal Pressure

Effectively decreases internal structural pressure, contributing to a more stable and comfortable indoor environment year-round.

Weather-Resistant Materials

Manufactured from colour-coated galvanised steel or Galvalume — engineered for long-term durability against harsh weather and UV exposure.

Easy Installation

Quick and straightforward installation on both new and retrofit roofing systems, with maximum utilisation of existing structural arrangements.

Exceptional shading properties with superior heat reflection compared to competing materials — keeps interiors cooler without sacrificing natural light.

An aesthetically pleasing finish — multiwall construction provides a clean, professional appearance suitable for modern architectural applications.

Eco-friendly composition — engineered to reduce energy consumption by maximizing natural light intake and minimizing solar heat gain simultaneously.

Available in 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm thicknesses to suit varying structural, thermal, and light transmission requirements across different project types.

Ideal for north light sheds — particularly in 6mm and 8mm configurations for wiregrass applications, delivering consistent diffused light without glare.

The system is installed at a variable-angle elbow to match the roof's slope, keeping the daylight tube parallel to the ground.

Assembly is placed on an FRP base profile matching the roof sheet, with a hole of up to 675mm in diameter cut into the roof for installation.

This innovative daylighting system channels sunlight indoors, illuminating spaces that traditional windows or skylights cannot reach.

Why Choose Polycarbonate Skylight Roofing?

Polycarbonate skylight roof sheets deliver measurable energy savings, worker safety improvements, and superior natural light distribution compared to conventional alternatives.

Natural Light & Energy Savings

Minimizes the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours, leading to significant savings on energy costs across large industrial and commercial floor areas.

Heat Blocking with Light Transmission

Multiwall sheets block solar heat gain while permitting visible light wavelengths to penetrate — maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature without sacrificing daylighting.

Eco-Friendly & Sustainable

Eco-friendly composition reduces dependence on artificial light and air conditioning, contributing to sustainable building operations and lower carbon footprint.

Lightweight & Durable

Polycarbonate sheets deliver lightweight protection with excellent weather resistance — easy to install and designed for long-term performance in demanding environments.

UV Protection

UV-resistant polycarbonate material protects both the sheet's performance and the building interior from harmful UV radiation over a long service life.

Aesthetically Pleasing Finish

Multiwall and embossed profiles deliver a clean, attractive appearance on the roof surface while allowing maximum natural light to fill the interior space below.

Skylight Integration — Key Benefits Over FRP or Polycarbonate Sheets

Enhanced Worker Safety

Skylight SunInside integration offers enhanced safety for workers on the roof compared to FRP or conventional polycarbonate skylight sheets.

Prevention of Water Leakage

The SunInside mounting system prevents water leakage during installation — a critical advantage over traditional skylight sheet installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about polycarbonate skylight roof sheets, multiwall panels, and the SunInside tubular daylighting system.

A polycarbonate skylight roof sheet is a translucent roofing panel that allows natural light into buildings while providing weather protection. Geometric Steels offers embossed 2mm translucent sheets, multiwall sheets in 6mm to 10mm thicknesses, and the Skylight SunInside tubular daylighting system.

Transparent polycarbonate profile sheets are available in a standard thickness of 2mm with embossing. They provide controlled light transmission and are an effective solution for allowing natural light into aluminium roofs.

Multiwall polycarbonate sheets are available in 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm thicknesses. They are engineered to block heat while permitting light wavelengths to penetrate — particularly ideal in 6mm and 8mm for wiregrass applications in north light sheds.

The Skylight SunInside is a tubular daylighting system developed through technical collaboration with 3M India Ltd. It uses a UV-resistant polycarbonate dome (minimum 80% transmission), a 99%-reflectivity mirror-coated aluminium guidance tube, a lens diffuser, and a variable-angle roof mounting system to channel natural sunlight into indoor spaces. It covers 750 to 1,200 sq ft per unit.

The mirror film on the guidance system provides 99% luminous reflectivity and over 90% bandwidth reflectivity for light wavelengths between 400 and 775 nm at angles of 0 to 80 degrees. The aluminium sheet used is 0.4mm thick.
Polycarbonate skylight integration with the SunInside system offers two key advantages: enhanced safety for workers on the roof, and prevention of water leakage during installation — both compared to conventional FRP or standard polycarbonate skylight sheets.
