STEEL ZIP™

Standing Seam Industrial Roofing

A seamless standing seam roofing system for industrial buildings — double-lock seam, no fasteners, no penetrations. On-site formed panels up to 100 metres. 3–5 kg/m². Minimum 2° pitch. Curved, tapered, and large-span capable.

01 — Product Overview

Steelzip™ Standing Seam Roofing System

Steelzip™ is a standing seam roofing system that provides seamless coverage for entire industrial buildings. Its panels are connected using a double-lock standing seam, offering a secure and efficient solution for modern construction.

A specialized clip is inserted into the seam during installation without requiring fasteners, holes, or penetrations. These seams are bonded using a portable electric seamer, ensuring durability and structural integrity across the entire roof surface.

Panels are formed on-site to the required dimensions and lengths — enabling continuous sheet lengths over 100 metres, ideal for covering expansive industrial areas with no mid-span joints.

Innovative Seam Connection

Core System Technology

The Steelzip™ system features panels joined by a double-lock standing seam. A specialized clip is inserted into the seam during installation without requiring fasteners, holes, or penetrations.

These seams are bonded using a portable electric seamer, ensuring durability and structural integrity throughout the roof's service life.

On-Site Panel Forming

Precision Manufacturing

Panels are formed on-site to the required dimensions and lengths, ensuring precision during installation.

This enables continuous sheet lengths over 100 metres, eliminating mid-span joints on large industrial roofing projects.

All technical parameters are verified product specifications. Custom material and colour options are available subject to minimum order requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Geometric Steels Skylight Fall Protection System for polycarbonate skylight roofs.

A skylight fall protection system is a safety structure installed over polycarbonate skylight roofs to prevent workers from falling through the skylight during maintenance or inspection activities. Geometric Steels’ system uses high-strength steel anchored directly to purlins with self-tapping, self-drilling screws, supporting approximately 110kg load capacity.

The Geometric Steels Skylight Fall Protection System supports approximately 110 kg load capacity, ensuring reliable protection for maintenance workers accessing rooftop areas with polycarbonate skylights.

The system is directly attached to purlins using self-tapping, self-drilling screws. A minimum of four such screws are used on each side to ensure robust anchoring and enhanced structural stability.

Yes. The Geometric Steels Skylight Fall Protection System is designed to fit specific skylight dimensions and building layouts. It is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each facility and is suitable for skylights of various shapes and sizes.

Polycarbonate skylights may not support the weight of a worker and can fracture under load, creating a serious fall-through hazard. A fall protection system prevents accidents, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and protects workers during routine maintenance and inspection activities.
